The art of Thierry Renard requires attention and memory. As such, it contrasts with the contemporary viewing of images - inattentive, hasty and forgetful. His collage technique, moreover, allows for uncommon readings of past, present and future images, in search of themselves and each other.

Thierry Renard is a Belgian, autodidact artist, born in 1951, living and working in Brussels. He studied and practiced Law in Europe and the United States. For many years now, art has been his sole commitment.
